The French company BDL Développement SAS “Bulle de Linge” acquires the Geneva-based Blanchisserie du Léman SA

BDL Développement SAS is owned by the Labrunye family, an entrepreneurial family for 6 generations, active in textile care (notably under the RLD brand, now known as Kalhyge) and dry cleaning (notably under the 5àsec brand). However, these activities have been gradually sold since the end of the 90s, in order to reposition, in 2007, in the linen and clothing care sector for people living in residential homes (the elderly and/or disabled), under the Bulle de Linge brand.
The group now owns 11 factories in France, 1 in Spain and has over 600 employees. The acquisition of Blanchisserie du Léman SA, a leading provider of linen rental and maintenance services to the hotel and healthcare sectors in French-speaking Switzerland, is part of this development strategy.
BianchiSchwald advised BDL Développement SAS on this transaction. The team was led by Hélène Weidmann (Partner | Mergers & Acquisitions), Linda Cetkovic (Associate | Mergers & Acquisitions), Stéphanie Fuld (Partner | Labor Law), Alexandra Uffer (Senior Associate | Labor Law), Gianni Fera (Managing Associate | Tax Law) et Luca Ruggiero (Junior Associate | Mergers & Acquisitions).
