Thierry Burnens is a managing associate in the firm’s IP/TMT department. He advises clients in matters related to the digital economy and focuses on technology, privacy and data protection, media and intellectual property law. He has broad knowledge on issues involving data protection, cyber security, copyright, licensing, e-commerce, social media, personality rights, unfair competition, and trademarks. Thierry’s practice entails advice and litigation for national and international clients as well as transactional support. Prior to joining BianchiSchwald, he worked for a major global consulting firm as well as for boutique law firms in Zurich and Zug. He holds a Master Degree in Law and Economics from the University of St. Gallen and is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/E).
